| Subject: Instructions on how to use Premade Overlays. Thu Dec 21, 2006 7:30 am | |
| I will guide you on how to use/edit premade overlays.
How to use Premade Overlays:
1. Download the code and the images (if you're asked to download them) of the premade layout you want to use.
2. Edit all the personal info in the code. Example: Name, Age, etc...
2. Edit the user id's of the code you've just downloaded. Click to view on how to get your own user id.
How? Open the code using Notepad or any html editor you'd like. Hit ctrl + F and input uid. Then put your own friendster user id. Example: <a href="http://www.friendster.com/viewphotos.php?uid= 4797266"> Change the red text into your own user id.
3. Change all the image url in your code. (This is for those layouts that ask you to upload the images by yourself.) Example: <IMG SRC="https://2img.net/h/i125.photobucket.com/albums/p77/kaise3/emoofmyown2point1tabbed_01.gif" WIDTH=900 HEIGHT=99> Change the red text into the url of your uploaded images.
How to upload? One of the uploading site that you may use, is Photobucket. Go to www.photobucket.com, and log in to your account. Register if you have none. Then, click on CHOOSE. Then a window will pop-up for you to choose which image you'd like to upload. Upload all the images that you had downloaded from the premade layout. Click UPLOAD. Then copy the url address of the uploaded images and paste them into your code. Click here for the image tutorial on how to upload.
4. Generate the html code you've just edited in the Overlay Generator. Just choose which generator will suite you the best.
5. Copy the generated codes from the OG (Overlay Generator) and paste it in your Media Box. Click here for the image.
**NOTE: Be careful in editing your html codes, cause if you deleted even just a < it can really mess up your layout.
Got questions? Feel free to post them in the Help section. That's it!
